Red Velvet are the ultimate Heart tribute band, who come from Dublin, Ireland and will let you experience and be transported back to a time where Ann and Nancy WiIson owned the stage with their band Heart.
The band is led by Joanne King (Ann Wilson) and Aobhin Pollard (Nancy Wilson).
As one of the most powerful Rock Female duos of all time, this Rock n Roll Hall of Fame band, shot to stardom in the 80s with classics such as Alone, All I Wanna Do Is Make Love to You, Barracuda, These dreams, Tall Dark Handsome Stranger and many many more.
The idea for Red Velvet came about a few years ago when Éamonn Hartley who has played drums in classic rock bands for years wanted to do something different and create something that genuine music lovers and Heart fans would appreciate and love.
Having watched and studied other tribute bands over a period of time he decided to start the Heart tribute band and bring all the hits of the Wilson sisters along with band to fans all over Ireland , UK and Europe.
Red Velvet are the only band of its kind in Ireland , UK and Europe.
The name Red Velvet is taken from one of Hearts songs off the Red Velvet Car album.
Finding musicians to play the iconic tunes of this powerhouse band wouldn’t be an issue but finding the right musicians was extremely important and so a careful and long process started.
He wanted to create a stage presence by the band and put together a music show and performance that would amaze even Heart themselves.
“I had been watching and studying other tribute bands very closely at gigs for a few years and noticed a lot of them are trying too hard to look like who they are portraying but not trying hard enough to sound like them, personally for me it needs to sound better than great , it needs to be incredible especially for an iconic band like Heart”
Once we had the best musicians and leading ladies on vocals we started rehearsals and putting together a show and stage presence that would be second to none.
Everyone in the band shares the same passion for music and will deliver the most incredible performance possible to ensure that Red Velvet deserves to be known always as “The Ultimate Heart Tribute Band”.
